Creative collaboration with Paper Hawk

We’re excited to introduce the very talented Laura Hawkins from Paper Hawk.

Over the last few weeks, Laura has been busy with scissors, glue and her very creative mind, to produce ten truly stunning pieces of art work, with our Pretty Gifted personalised wrapping paper!

Paper Hawk and Pretty Gifted have a creative collaboration, with personalised wrapping paper

Our beautiful relationship started on the internet (as so many do these days) fuelled by some likes and shares on Twitter, until a real conversation was struck up, and the creative ideas started to flow.

Laura is a Graphic Designer by trade, she graduated from Falmouth College of Arts and was led into illustration by her love of paper and making something from nothing, or in most cases, making something from materials which would ordinarily be thrown away (which we LOVE!)

With this project, we sent Laura lots of samples of giftwrap which we had used for photography purposes (and kept in case they were needed for something!) which sits very nicely with the way we like to do business.

Pretty Gifted and Paper Hawk Collaboration with 9 different imagesThe flair, character and charm of these images has amazed us, Laura has such a natural talent to ‘draw’ with paper, and we are really impressed that some of the personalised words can still be read, whilst depicting another message altogether.

Laura has generated 10 images as part of this series:

  • Top row:Valentines Day, Easter and Mother’s Day.
  • Middle: Father’s Day, Thank You and Happy Birthday.
  • Bottom: New Baby, New Home and Engagement.

along with a Pretty Gifted logo (image above).

You can find out more about Laura Hawkins at Paper Hawk at her design studio in Manchester.

We’ll be using these beautiful images to promote the various reasons to buy our personalised wrapping paper, so look out for them throughout the year!

  1. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you guys, and a really fun project! I am so happy to work with a company that has such a strong environmental ethos too and love that the foiled wrap can be fully recycled. It’s so important that we look after the planet and great to hear that we can still have this awesome wrapping paper while doing it!
